DeerMe

The driver of this vehicle was able to miss the first deer that jumped in front of his van just North of the Carrot River on highway 35 but the second one caught the right side of the bumper wipping out the headlight system, damaging the bumper and destroying the front right fender on this "plastic" van.

It is definitely deer hunting season and it is hard to tell if we are the hunters or the hunted. With some seven thousand deer meeting their death each year on Saskatchewan highways there is a real need for extreme care when driving in areas where they like to jump out on the road to test your brakes and driving skills. If you see one you are still in danger as a second or third may be about to send you to the insurance adjuster.
