I was able to drive the van right out under this massive flock as they moved only to resettle almost immediately but there numbers were concealed until they rose into the air. The image at upper right is only a fraction of the flock which were that dense all around me as I drove across the field with the video camera out the window. All of the images in this article were collected using a conventional Hitachi VHS video camera.
