Wascana Geese

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, June 3, 2003 by: Ole Loberg

Here are some shots we took today (May 23rd) at Wascana park, which is located within the city of Regina.

The Canadian Geese now have their chicks and you can wander freely among them.

You will notice that there are two adult geese with a bazillion babies....more than they could have hatched themselves.

Apparently they have a system of "baby-sitting" whereby they look after other babies.

It really is a lovely park.

Editor's Note:
Ken Styan passed these on to us and said that Ole Loberg recently moved from the Northwest Territories and was in total awe of the "flat, no tree prairies."
