FTLComm - Tisdale - Monday, June 16, 2008

Saturday, June 14 the Tisdale RECPlex curling rink was turned into a fair of sorts with an emphasis on fine art. But it also had the atmosphere of a relaxed carnival with various performances and presentations on the stage and three food vendors. It was a two smokey show for me as we went from display to display and soaked up the positive vibes in the room.

Though there were several artists and crafts experts on hand I was able to visit with Shirley Edmunds who had a display of her work as seen in the eleventh picture in the collection below. I also visited with noted bird photographer and water colour expert painter Helen Carson.

Though the displays that caught my eye were documented with the pictures below the Tisdale Quilter's group that meets in the Roman Catholic Church Parish Centre starting on September 9th really had some remarkable work on display.

But you can drift through the twenty pictures that give you a sort of sample of the event. Click on the picture below to see a larger version.
