House seven a combination shop and dwelling

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, May 6, 2008

On the extreme southern outskirts of Tisdale a new building has been taking shape and will be the home for LaBlanc plumbing and the LaBlanc family as the new building is shop, garage and house combined.

Part and parcel of the plumbing business is having a shop to prefabricate the parts that will be needed in a construction or renovation project. Don LaBlanc has seen his business here in Tisdale grow steadily and has had several locations but none of them exactly fit the bill. So a new building was planned and besides a space for a workshop and fabricating plant the building includes a good sized garage for business and private vehicles.

The family also needed a house and so it was decided to situation the new house above the shop space.

Definitely an interesting project and it is well on its way to completion. The picture above shows the project from the west and below is how it looked this afternoon from the east or highway side.
