It is one month since this project got going with three contractors so far contributing to the project and as of this morning (above) the structure is now ready for the installation of its rafters and roof. By comparison a duplex with the same basic construction got underway February 9th this year with one of its owners having taken up residence two weeks ago and the other to move in the coming week.
Just getting the walls up is really the start rather than the end of the construction process. Plumbers and electricians have their work to do then comes the drywalling process which is slow and labour intensive followed by the finishing. Though it takes a month to build the structure it takes close to five months to move the dwelling from this stage to a place to live in.
