Work Begins on New Multifamily Unit

FTLComm - Tisdale - May 8, 2001

In the spring of 1999 two developers set out to sell condominiums in Tisdale. Tisdale Agencies were promoting the development of the Madisson right beside the Beeland Co-op and Renaud Realty were attempting to sell condos in a building for this location on the corner of the former primary school yard. Location won out as the Madisson was built but still has two units sitting empty awaiting sale.

The project for this location was shelved for lack of sales. We do not know just what sort of building is planned for this site but it is expected to be a multifamily dwelling of some time. Located three blocks from the downtown it is an ideal location and has some positive prospects. This will be the first

construction to take place on this school playground which has had service lots installed along its North side but as yet no houses are planned for these lots which can be seen on the right as we look beyond Chupa Excavation's back hoe which is busy scooping up fill dug from the new basement under construction. This picture was taken yesterday afternoon while the second picture from the top of the page was taken Saturday morning and shows the area with the turf removed.
Below is the work site as seen from the North and Chupa Excavation busily removes the material for the basement. This makes this the third housing development this year in Tisdale and the fourth construction project now underway.
