FTLComm - Tisdale - October 12, 2000
Tisdale Mall has had a difficult period in its life during these past five years. When FTLComm first started here in Tisdale we participated in the 1995 Midnight madness and it was remarkable the number of people who filled the mall that night and came to see us at our booth.

But since then things have been rough at the mall as businesses closed or moved and the final and devastating blow came with Zellers becoming "Best Value" and the rural customers who had relied on the Tisdale Mall for years just kept on driving into Prince Albert or Saskatoon. Three major events have begun to make a
big difference. "Okay Economy" made its transition to the silly named "Extra Foods" but in doing so really overhauled its story adding its film processing and pharmacy sections. Zellers saw the light with both Tisdale and Weyburn being
almost completely without
profit and returned to their regular line of products and with them we have seen a steady return of the shoppers who once made Tisdale Mall their destination.

The third and most important change has been for local control and ownership to take over the mall. The office is now staffed full time and steadily things are
changing to revitalise this important commercial entity in this community. The back to school promotion and a general improvement in all aspects of the mall show that it has turned the bend toward a brighter future.

The first and most important change will see a new office complex opening in this store front. Sharing a common receptionist this office will provide medical practitioners, lawyers, accountants and investment offices the opportunity to have a reasonable priced location with shared services, all indoors. If you are a professional in need of great office space better talk to Mall manager Ken Magnus this space will not be available for long.

In keeping with the promotional spirit of the mall Taylor's Men's Wear are holding a sale this week and have brought special high quality products for this promotion. Shoes to suits and everything in between, a great sale this weekend.

To match the spirit of renewal a couple of new faces have been added to the mall's outlets with Devon Ernst looking outstanding and providing excellent service at Taylor's. Devon is the outstanding provincial track athlete who is the province's reigning 800 metre star.

Tim Krieger (above) has come from Saskatoon to provide technical support to TSL computers.

With Shooters open for lunch the Tisdale Mall is becoming a happening place and you don't even have to go inside to see the difference as the parking lot tells the story of success.
