Christmas Lights to End the Century

FTLComm - Tisdale - November 26, 1999
Like the legendary Dutch boy with his finger in the dike I find myself each year resisting the onslaught of Christmas and the trappings of the season. I cherish Christmas, consider it the highlight of each year and fear that by spreading it from mid November until mid January we are diluting the essence of the celebration. But my resistance is futile.

The Town of Tisdale has already entered the season and the park is already aglow. Various merchants have each posted their names on trees and filled them with lights to commemorate this time of the year. The town crews have installed the light pole decorations from one side of town to the other and as you can see the town has been transformed. So many homes are now fully decorated and a week before Christmas we will bring you some of the highlights from around town.
