Tisdale is getting into the mood

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, November 26, 2003

Most of the stores downtown have their lights on and their outside trees trimmed as the anticipation of this year's Christmas shopping kick off Midnight madness is fast approaching this weekend.

This afternoon out at the Tisdale Mall the tables were being set up and labeled for the craft and organisation tables that will have all those specialty items that you only get a few rare opportunities to see and buy.

The Mall is really winding itself up this year as it has more tables set out than I have seen in any other year.

This year the big guy in the Red suit will be in the cafeteria area with his elves and a setting for that annual picture.

At four tomorrow afternoon I am looking forward to being on hand when two teenagers open their gift store with specialty items and novelties that are picked out for people their age. We hope to be on hand to get some pictures for you of Suga Bz (below) and will have them posted tomorrow late afternoon or evening.

Things are looking good this year in the mall with a new leather goods store to open soon between Brothers and the hair

dresser.

Meanwhile the lights are on downtown and the downtown merchants are to be congratulated for making a special effort to perk up the two blocks with a great display of Christmas Trees.

The weather forecast is calling for a little snow this weekend so the trees will have a natural coating to go with their decorations but temperatures are expected to be mild.

A day short of a month left until Christmas, three full weeks before I get around to thinking about my shopping for this year but I know most folks plan ahead much better than I and will be out in force this weekend.
