FBI agents Coleen Rowley and Kenneth Williams

The furthering of Bush's oil interest over Terrorism:
A conspiracy between the FBI and Bush?

"I want to thank you for coming to the White House to give me an opportunity to urge you to work with these five senators and three congressmen, to work hard to get this trade promotion authority moving. The power that be, well most of the power that be, sits right here."

George Bush Jr., Washington, D.C., June 18, 2001

from
the
saints

Few days ago I sent an e-mail to my son James reporting the abundance of information in regard to the terror threats preceding the 9-11 attacks. In this e-mail I made specific reference to the listing of nineteen events leading to the 9-11 attacks. There is a lot of documentation now coming up against the assertions of the White House that they could not predict a terror attack by the use of hijacked planes or that the White House had no prior knowledge of terror threats prior to 9-11. But what impressed me was the fact that those above mentioned nineteen events were provided by Susan DeSantis in her article "Here's What Bush Knew" and therefore I had a laugh as I told James that Susan could be a distant relative of ours. We must understand that the name DeSantis means "from the saints" in Latin, and this name DeSantis was given to all the illegitimate babies the monks found at the entrance of their monasteries in the Middle Age. And I had another laugh when James responded with the short comment "it's the name!" and I had still another laugh as I thought that a perceptive response could have been "it's the name stupid!"

relative
gravity

However, it is certainly not a matter of laugh when we reflect to the differences of the gravity of our public perceptions when we relate the lying of president George Bush, as to his knowledge of the terror threats leading to the 9-11 attacks, to the lying of former president Bill Clinton, as to his sexual conduct.

White House
and
Pentagon

I have no doubt that the corporate media is at fault in trying to protect the ignorance and misbehavior of president Bush while lashing out at the sexual escapades of former president Clinton. A number of journalists, including CBS anchor Dan Rather, are becoming skeptical about the fairness of the media, and a perception is developing that American journalism on the war against terrorism has been originating more from the press conferences held at the White House and at the Pentagon rather than from the real and personal experiences of journalists.

bias
reporting

To further understand the biases of the corporate media in supporting the agenda of the Bush administration I want to express the result of a just released research conducted by Fair Magazine:
A study of ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News in the year 2001 shows that 92 percent of all U.S. sources interviewed were white, 85 percent were male and, where party affiliation was identifiable, 75 percent were Republican.

accomplice

I want to mention the latest two news stories which further unfold the corrupt behaviour of the American intelligence services and the negligence of the Bush administration. The first news story comes from the FBI office in Minneapolis where Agent Coleen Rowley has stated in a recent letter that the local request, prior to 9-11, for surveillance and search warrants for terrorism defendant Zacarias Moussaoui was altered before the FBI headquarter in Washington rejected such a request. Also, agent Rowley has stated that herself and her colleagues began to joke about the roadblocks erected by the FBI headquarters and labeled the FBI as an "unwitting accomplice" of Osama Bin Laden.

corrupt
powers
that be

The second news story refers to the memo written by FBI agent Kenneth Williams in early July 2001 warning that Al Qaeda members could be training at US flight schools with the intention to use planes in their terror attacks. This memo was ignored by the FBI and it is interesting to know that this memo was directed to agent John O'Neill. We must know that John O'Neill met in June 2001 with French intelligence expert Jean-Charles Brisard and he told Brisard that he was frustrated with the Bush administration and their priority to put oil interests ahead of terrorist concerns. There is also the understanding that O'Neill became fed up with the roadblocks of the FBI headquarter in Washington and therefore he resigned from the FBI and took the job as head of security at the World Trade Center (WTC). O'Neill died on his second day of work at the WTC on September 11 while trying to help out the people still trapped in the buildings after the first attack. In the meantime, as people die in this worldwide war on terrorism, we must deal with the lies of the corrupt power that be.
