Representative Henry Waxman said in a letter that Halliburton co. received more US government contracts in Iraq than earlier reported.

The militaristic and statistical tools of corporative marketeers:
the sacking and the sapping of the Fair Market

Nipawin - Wednesday - June 4 2003 - by: Mario deSantis

"It is simply remarkable that a single company [Halliburton] could earn so much money from the war in Iraq"

U.S. Representative Henry Waxman

2001

As I was mentioning sometime ago we have a confusing world for common people and a deterministic and predictable world for the neo-uber-alles of Bush&Co. This morning I learn that Brown & Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton, was contracted in 2001 for work relating to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

militaristic

This militaristic approach to business must be stopped, an approach which has caused the privatization of the public good and the undermining of a socially progressive world.

manipulate
opinion

This militaristic approach has used the highly manipulative tool of statistics to determine public policies. In fact, just prior to the war, orchestrated and brainwashing statistical polls revealed that some 77% of the public felt that invading U.S. troops would find WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction). As the war has ended in Iraq no WMD have been found yet.

social
inequality

We have covered Dr. David Cassidy's fraudulent statistical study of Saskatchewan nofault auto insurance and we became equally alarmed when Dr. Kristin J. Forbes was added to President Bush's Council of Economic Advisors. Dr. Cassidy purported that nofault auto insurance was better than tort law as disabled victims recovered much faster under nofault, and Dr. Forbes purports that income inequality has a significant positive relationship with subsequent economic growth. Dr. Cassidy was sued by one of his researcher for his fraudulent study and settled out of court. Dr. Forbes' assertion that income inequality is good for the economy is denounced by common people and this is what Brazilian President Lula da Silva's has stated at the G-8 Summit in Evian:
It is in the space of social inequality that resentments, criminality, and, especially, narco-trafficking and terrorism, prosper.
And I ask, how can president Bush fight terrorism when he himself purports economic and social policies of division and inequality at home and abroad?

36%
profit

We have depicted the Carlyle Group as the business representative of the new world order envisioned by the neo-uber-alles of Bush&Co. I ask, how can the Carlyle Group promote a Free Market which is fair when this group has been producing a return of some 36% a year on their multibillion dollar assets?

mergers

We hear again of another merger as Peoplesoft has taken over JD Edwards so that they can better compete and save some $80 million just in their first year of operation. We must understand that the inventory and human resource market is dominated now by Peoplesoft, Oracle and SAP. I ask, how can the new Peoplesoft compete better in the Free Market when their market has become a stricter ogopolistic market comprised of Peoplesoft, Oracle and SAP?

affects
us here

The story of the Carlyle Group reminds me of my article "Militarizing Healthcare and killing rural Saskatchewan" in which I described the sacking of Saskatchewan healthcare by the American business SAIC (Science Application International Corporation). The story of Peoplesoft reminds me of my article "SAHO Payroll Policies: Saving Money Out of Ongoing Catastrophes" in which I described the sapping of Saskatchewan healthcare as they bought SAP payroll to save some $38 million over ten years.

unjust

All the dogmatic and predicted public policies preached by the corporative marketeers, of privatization, of mergers and of savings of money are in reality, regressive unjust public policies of division, of inequality and of engrossed oligopolistic power.

vested
interest

Note: Quote by Donella Meadows
"challenging a paradigm is not a part-time job. It is not sufficient to make your point once and then blame the world for not getting it. The world has a vested interest in, a commitment to, not getting it. The point has to be made patiently and repeatedly, day after day after day."
