 Plans and preparation really help to prevent problems but despite the hard work things can still go wrong. Most of the streets on the East side of town have had their old cast iron lines replaced but today a water break has occured in the area. It is possible this is the one street that has not yet been replaced. I was unable to talk to the crew who were busy excavating the water soaked earth. I did observe that the ground was frozen below six feet and the leak was very close to the intersection. |
