The Mighty Wascana

These pics taken one week from the last series.

I walked down to Albert Street bridge with great expectations of seeing a lake almost full - heh this is spring and the run-off is in full swing or should be.
Does that indicate that, maybe there isn't water in the country to run off, or is it, that the slow spring has allowed the water to soak into the farm land - that needs it the most. Not to worry, we have another year and another spring run-off before the great anticipated celebrations of our Centennial Year.

Lots of work yet to do, but congratulations to the people that made this possible, I am not talking about the funding, I am talking about the people that worked around the clock seven days a week. A job well done
