Not to be counted on

	The decision taken by the Chretien-Martin Liberals not to support our closest allies in the war with Hussein is another example of how hooked this government is on doing only what is popular not what is right. When a decision was required to stand with our friends, the Prime Minister refused and took the easy way out because the polls said so.
	By taking this decision, the Prime Minister and his supporters have weakened Canada's reputation with its allies, made us look weak in the eyes of the rest of the world and clearly demonstrated that Canada can not be counted on for support when it is really needed.
	The government's stand is pathetic and weak-kneed and as Canadians we should be embarrassed.
