Works That Won't Make It!

There are just some literary works that many of us just can't author and be taken seriously. For example,

  • Stephen Harper's "My Favourite Drinking Songs" might have a limited audience.
  • Dan Quayle's "Spelling Made Easy" and
  • "Advanced Arithmetic" by Joe Clark are unlikely to be seen on store shelves anytime soon.
  • "Financial Prudence in a Capitalist World" could be out of the reach of Alexis McDonough.
  • "Keeping it Canadian" might not work for Jacques Parizeau,
  • and who would buy Bill Gate's version of "How To Survive On A Limited Budget?"
  • George W. Bush might want to wait writing his "My Love of All Things Canadian" for the time being.
  • "Staying the Course" by Allan Rock might not become a best seller, ranking up there with
  • "Minding Your Dollars With Some Sense" by Alfonso Gagliano, Jane Stewart, or Sheila Copps, just to name a few.

My own rotundness and bald pate would seem to put both the subjects of aerobics and hair styling a bit out of my reach. However, I may reconsider this should the Prime Minister actually present a plausible draft on what should be considered as ethical behavior among our parliamentarians and party leadership contenders.

If my memory serves me, isn't this the same guy who presented us that Red Book, where the message to us on the GST turned out to mean "Get Stuffed Turkey?"

Let's face it, if Jean Chretien can lend credence to such an endeavor as he is now proposing, then surely a composition by me on how to keep that washboard stomach while retaining your curls just might have a chance.
