In the past we have mentioned in Ensign the romance of the automobile and here at the Tisdale Museum is an outstanding collection of vintage automobiles. One of the things that stands out in this collection is that the cars are displays as they would have been seen as they were driven in their time. So many museums display vintage cars as if they were in a showroom shining like a modern car when in fact the paint of the era rarely had much luster and these cars are authentic.

The other important aspect of the collection is the variety and it includes some rather rare vehicles, an Essex, a Star and my favourite shown below, a Whippet. This is a don't miss visit.
