Clean-Up Complete

The new street, packed and covered with gravel is clear indication of the exceptional job done by Beeland Co-op and its contractors to remove the petroleum contamination that once lay here beneath the old balk fuel plant. This picture (above) was taken yesterday and shows the site cleaned up as though nothing had ever happen. Back a week ago on Friday the 8th the dirt was being brought in from this borrow pit just South of town to fill in and replace the contaminated soil that had been removed. Almost twice as much fill was moved in

this project than had been originally planned for but the extent of the work was to insure that the problem is solved.
