Around The Junction

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, August 15, 2001
The four way stop where highways #3 and #35 intersect and the CP rail line heads South is one of the busiest places in Saskatchewan. Twenty-four horus a day heavy trucks and all other forms of road transportation dutifully pause and then continue on their way, traffic to and from the tourist haven of Nipawin, the logging complex at Hudson Bay, the agricultural centre of Saskatchewan, Tisdale/Melfort area. Everything has to come through this intersection.

This morning at 9:00 with an interesting puff ball sky this photographer captured this place and this moment in a 360º virtual reality panorama. Use your mouse and the zoom controls to look around the scene. You will notice that some vehicles partly vanish as they are caught in one exposure but not in the next and don't be alarmed about miss-placed rails, the blending of the individual pictures just can not handle the straight lines close foreground. If you do not see this scene just download the QuickTime player which is free and enhances your computer's function, this scene will not show up with MS media player.
