The RECPlex domain

In the spring a committee huddled around the town council table to work out what they felt was important to tell the world about Tisdale. A video was to be produced that would be used to inform prospective business and people who might be looking to move to the community and the discussion worked over the various elements that were fundamental to the place and one theme just kept come up over and over. That theme was the way in which Tisdale people, its agencies, businesses and all walks of life have found ways to work together to achieve common goals. The RECPlex is a dynamic part of this spirit and from that the theme of "Sharing and working together" came about as the video was assembled. On Thursday morning these pictures were taken atop the arena portion of the RECPlex as we look out over the outstanding playing field that is just a part of this recreational and educational complex. The picture at the top of the page shows the view East of Tisdale toward the Harvest Valley Terminal . Just beyond the row of houses is the Doghide creek with its hiking trails and recreational area including Riverside golf course.
