Lawn Border

Grass, no matter how well kept is still pretty boring and it is great to see home owners look for ways to improve the appearance of their property and add some visual variety to the scene.

This corner lot was almost completely shrouded in trees when this home owner bought the place a year ago and besides launching a heavy duty renovation of the house he took out the forest. This brightened up the yard and created space.

The lawn was rebuilt but with a few trees left and a fire plug the yard needed something to make it well. . . more interesting and here is what he came up with.

He had Chupa Excavation come in with a bobcat and remove the area along the curb, the removed material will go into a new garden patch and cedar border was installed to edge the lawn and the area between the curb and edging was filled with red crushed rock.

The resulting appearance is striking and solves a number of problems, reduces the size of the lawn, makes a nice visual combination of red rock and green lawn and I think it makes the whole yard look simply better.
