Air Cadets cleanup

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, May 6, 2004

Sunday afternoon Tisdale's Air Cadets were out on highway #35 cleaning up the debris from the winter.

The Air Cadets give their members outstanding training and experience in the military as well as a chance to explore aviation. Though there is very basic support for the group by the federal government this only covers training of leaders and uniforms. To involve the group in travel and various projects the group needs to raise money.

Sunday's ditch clean up is one of their fund raisers but they will need more money to carry out their programme this year.

It is important to understand that these young people are involved in a lifetime experience which helps them to explore careers as well as sample and understand the military culture.
