Canadian Productivity

Winnipeg, Friday September 26, 2008, by : Dale Swirsky

We absolutely should be concerned about the future prosperity of our nation. So I wonder, why put faith into Harper's soft sweater sensation.

To improve productivity, we should be cutting the business and income tax, Instead Harper has given literacy programs the axe. His cut to the diesel tax will cost $500 billion but it has made many joyfully jump. Don't they know that the oil companies will simply add the difference to their jacked prices at the pump?

We need tax cuts which encourage investment in new technology. Instead our surplus has been piddled on public relations cuts to the GST. He's squandered the finances needed to make the tax cuts that we truly need. If our nation is to prosper in the green twenty-first century.

So please, fellow Canadians, heed PC premier Danny Williams "ABC" advice and vote for anybody else instead.

For how can you support someone whose senseless deregulation of meat inspections had left eighteen of your fellow citizens dead?
