Vegas On A Harley

Las Vegas, Nevada - Thursday, March 28, 2002 - By: Michael Townsend

"How those Townsend Boys spent their Vegas Vacation, or How I learned to stop worrying about being a teacher in British Columbia and take to the road."

Mine was a big beasty but you know they both had the same size motor. Bruce asked how I faired in the sand storm we went through. I asked, "What sand storm?" A very well protected ride.

But Bear was sad to be left behind and spoke little on our first walk after my return.

Editor's note: This is the second year Mike and his brother Bruce spent a week in
Vegas for their winter break. They make it an interesting vacation as both have motorcycle licenses and are able to rent these remarkable machines during their stay in the holiday city.

Mike is a computer communications teacher in Kamloops and Bruce (right) works in Saskatoon.

Both grew up in air force bases all across Canada and in Germany as their father was a member of the Canadian Air Force.
