Environment Minister Lorne Scott Visits Greenwater Provincial Park

FTLComm - Tisdale - July 17,1998

Environment Minister Lorne Scott dropped in today to tour Greenwater Provincial park Thursday. The provincial Piper Cheyenne was up to the task. This government aircraft can bring a cabinet minister out to a location like Greenwater and be back into Regina by five in the afternoon. Seating six and capable of cruising at 300 miles per hour the pressurised Cheyenne has a range of over fifteen hundred miles and can reach an altitude of over 30,000 feet.

On the right is the superintendent of Greenwater provincial park who was on hand to see the minister off at around three Thursday afternoon. Greenwater is one of the gems in the provincial park system with its abundant and accessible wildlife making it one of Saskatchewan's most prized vacation spots.
