Growing Parrish & Heimbecker

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, April 23, 2009

Shortly after 8:00 this morning the work at Parrish & Heimbecker was in full swing with Little Redi-Mix trucks pouring fresh cement into a bucket that was being lifted to the working level that is quickly growing from the footings and base installed last fall.

You can check out the full details of the work the contractor and engineering firm Todd & Sargent are carrying out to create a fully operational inland grain terminal out of the former Tisdale Dehydration facility. The concrete storage will be integrated with the storage already in place.

The modifications to the facility include grain handling machinery to distribute received grain and then transport it to the shipping area for rail cars. This also means the creation of a grain receiving and weighing system and buildings to house the command and control systems for the completed facility.

The picture below shows the whole set up from a distance and gives you some idea of the truly large nature of this terminal project.
