Hay, Where You Goin'?

FTLComm - Melfort - December 19, 1998
The great fodder crop in this region of Saskatchewan during this past summer has meant for some needed revenue from the tight times farmers are experiencing. This "B" train of feed bails rolled out onto the highway Friday West of Melfort for a destination unknown but this is more then twenty-six tons of feed. This truck is somewhat different then what we normally see in this part of Saskatchewan as bail loads are usually two wide with a third single row on top of a single flat bed trailer. The price of hay has declined considerably because of the glut of high quality alfalfa bails now flooding the market.
