ArborField's Dehydration Plant Bail Stack

FTLComm - Arborfield - January 8, 1999
We have marvelled at the size of the Tisdale Dehydration plant's bail stockpile but it is apparent that this abundance in alfalfa is much more extensive. The stack you can see in this picture is about one third as deep as it is wide and you are looking at the wide side. The Tisdale plant is attempting to market the bails for feed and because of the huge amount available the price of the commodity is declining. Two main factors contribute to this abundance, first of all despite the frost at the first part of the growing season the production of alfalfa was exceptional, while at the same time, the economic distress in the far East, which is the main market for dehydrated alfalfa, reduced demand for this past year's crop.
