Northern Steel makes a big one

FTLComm -Tisdale - Thursday, November 7, 2002
If you have passed by Northern Steel's North assembly plant in the last couple of days you have seen the crane holding a component for what is clearly an unusual product.

Northern Steel mass produces a wide range of large vertical and horizontal storage tanks but this one is an exception. A customer needed a special tank twenty-two and half feet in diameter and sixteen feet tall.

This is substantially larger than most storage tanks because to be transported to their site they have to fit on a highway or railway line.

As far as we know this is a one off product but it does take a big step in well. . . big.
