FTLComm - Tisdale - August 26

Usually during harvest showers bring a hault often for up to a week, but because this year the harvest is so early and the days are still long enough, the high temperatures Tuesday have accellerated the drying process and combines began once again in mid afternoon as the moisture content reached acceptable levels. CBC reported Tuesday morning that harvest was about 33% complete across the province but in the Tisdale area the situation is considerably more advanced. In just a short drive in any direction from Tisdale you will have a hard time finding more then a few fields still standing, most have been combined and a few are in the swath like this flax crop five miles North of town.
