| At one time railways kept antifreeze in their units but in recent years they have
moved strictly to water cooling so that a road unit that shuts down enroute has to
be drained to prevent freezing. This unit needs to be kept inside, warm to ensure
that it will start up from its massive batteries which required a special charger
be purchased to keep them up. Destine to spend the rest of its life shuttling back and forth on the siding this little blue engine will give the terminal long years of service. | |
