Ramblers trade show

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday, April 3, 2009

The 2009 Rambler Trade show and Rodeo got underway this afternoon and as the day progressed the attendance kept picking up.

One of the senior's care homes brought all of its people over for the afternoon so it was an extra special outing for everyone and a chance for a lot of visiting.

This year's trade show seems larger than last year and there seems also to be a greater diversity in the exhibits and booths.Though there have been demonstrations at other trade shows in the past this is the first I have attended where there was a live cooking demo with a skilled presenter.

The exhibits in the curling rink area have traditionally been located in three long aisles but this year the space has been much better used with booths located lengthways and crossways in the area. This is a real improvement and accommodated the excellent desplays in this year's show.

For me the high light of every year is stopping at the Beeland Co-op booth and buying a very special treat, an outstanding smoky.

The second highlight of this and every other year in the past is the folks you meet. Tisdale and the surrounding communities have a lot of very friendly people and you just don't get to see them that often but the Trade Show is yet another opportunity to take a few minutes and catch up with old friends.

There are thirty-eight images below that show some of the booths, some of the things to be seen and attempt to catch the atmosphere of this year's show.
