FTLComm - Red Earth - November 18, 1999

Though the computer lab was a part of the school renovation plans its wiring was not. But that has been completed and the lab is now functioning in a complete network with both Macintosh and Windows machines sharing the LaserWriter and in a few days each station will be on line with Internet access.

This is a grade seven class working on their basic skills using both types of computers interchangably. On our right a student does some coaching while the
teacher is in one of those "Oh what have I done." modes. The room is well laid out and the new blue chairs are really a great addition to the facility. Most class rooms in the school also have computers in their rooms but are not as yet part of the network although the office computers are intergrated. Faster Than Light Communications has played a major role in getting this lab up and running.
