Senior Curling Excitement Continues

FTLComm - Tisdale - February 10, 1999
Earlier this year we showed you a QuickTime VR panorama of the scene on the ice during one of the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon curling draws. On Tuesday I peeked in to see how things were going and to no surprise things looked pretty good. The first draw of the afternoon was just getting under and that blur below the man's chin (above) is a two dollar coin about to decide who gets the last shot. I hung around to see how that first end went and these two thirds were playing for keeps. The man on the left drew in perfectly with his first shot and the man on the right clipped out that stone and another then our coin flipper who had won the toss made his shot count by driving the shot stone back.

On each sheet of ice the story was the same, excellent ice conditions, gentle draw weight and dead eye shooting. Keen competition and a lot of fun.
