Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing you on behalf of the Saskatchewan Regional Pony Club, which is a part of the Canadian Pony Club. Canadian Pony Club is a volunteer-run, national, non-profit organization with around 4000 members from Newfoundland to British Columbia. It is for young people up to the age of 21 who want to learn more about horses, riding and horse care. Our motto is “Loyalty, Character, Sportsmanship”, and we believe that we instill these values into our members.

We have been selected to host the 2002 Prairie Zonal Showjumping and Dressage Championships. Young people from Alberta and Manitoba will be coming to Ebon Stables in Saskatoon August 21-25 to compete against our Saskatchewan members. There will be approximately 50 competitors and their families, friends, coaches as well as many local spectators attending this event.

We are seeking monetary donations from local businesses to help offset the cost for this non-profit organization.

All of our generous contributors will be gratefully acknowledged in our program and over the public address system throughout this 4-day event.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and we would be greatly appreciative of any assistance.

Sincerely,

Diana Pella
