FTLComm - Tisdale - September 6, 1998

At the rink already, for many hockey and the life of being a hockey parent seems to be an all year round experience. This weekend young from around the province have come to Tisdale to find a place on the Trojans "AAA" midget team. Today there is a game at ten and the intersquad game goes at 2:00 this afternoon.

So from four teams the group has shaken down to two as players go all out to join this hockey club. The coach reported that this was a good camp and that there were players from Eastend, Linden, Lampman, Estevan, Esterhazy and many places in between.

If you want to see some exciting hockey shuffle off the RecPlex this afternoon and take in the game. Intersquad games at try-out camps are often some of the best organised hockey games you will see all year as the players know coaches are looking not just for ability but want to see team work and team play skills that produce a winning team not just a high goal scorer.
