That's the great thing about spring, it is the time for things to begin. It is start up time, just as farmers get on the land to start a new crop year, the grass starts to turn green to begin a new year of growth and the need for cutting. The picture at the top of the page shows a tree readying itself to sprout its leaves. Wednesday night it was time

for the ball players to shake the cob webs from their cleats and come out for the first night of baseball

The golfers who have been suffering anziety since October are once more out starting a new season, this year encouraged by the impossible wonder of Tiger Woods, and perhaps there is a little tiger in every duffer. The course seems to be almost instantly turning green and the short grass is delaying the loss of the first ball of the year.

The sewer trucks are in from Edmonton to begin a new season of relining the old lines with plastic inner casings. All is as it should be.
