Up Needle Peak

Kamloops, B.C. - Monday, September 25, 2006 by: Michael Townsend

Had a fun Sunday. A bit of a climb.

Above is a good look at Needle Peak.

On the right are the four who made the attempt Sunday afternoon.

(Michael Townsend is second from the right.)

Above and below are shots during the climb.

The image on the right was taken on the summit.

The memorial is on the summit of Needle Peak commemorating a twenty-three year old climber who died in an attempt to climb this peak earlier this year.

The image below shows the scene from the summit looking down at the parking area where the climbers began their assault.
