Winter wonderland

This past weekend I drove up to LaRonge and back. I was struck with the beauty that we so often take for granted. In many ways that drive from Prince Albert north to LaRonge is a bit nostalgic as it reminds me so much of the scenery in the Yukon and it is easy to image the trees just a bit taller and snow cover a bit deeper.

The set of images begins with the view from atop the Birchills hill looking west.

As I drove along the old Christmas song Winter Wonderland seemed to be what I was thinking of so let's listen as we look over the pictures below. This version of the song is by "Jewel".
