Green Grass Grew All Around

Tisdale is definitely not Victoria BC but there it is for all to see green grass growing in March. I first noticed a green ting in our back yard yesterday and day by day with the warm sun turning things on grass throughout Saskatchewan communities will begin to turn from its winter tan to green. A couple of theories come to mind as to why some yards turn quicker then others, including accummulations of snow that melts and gently moistens the grass roots and the second is that some fall fertilizing is paying off. In our yard there was no fertilizer only the snow. The yard below is quite unusual in that it is almost all turning green. Though we can remark at the exuberance of the grass we must temper that joy with the awareness that very soon this will mean mowers and clippings.
