House number nine
FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, July 8, 2010

Chupa Excavation and Trucking got this project underway on June 10 by working in a very wet and muddy environment to dig in the services and basement. As we all know since then the weather has been mostly rain with periods of showers but despite that work has progressed to the point that this house has its external walls standing and framing of the internal partitions is about to begin.

This house is being built on the east side of New Market and only one empty lot remains on the east side of the street at least as far as it presently goes, there may be several lots at the north end still available.

Some contractors like to build the garage before they put up the rafters while others elect to put up the rafters sheet in the roof first before adding the garage. There is no way of knowing at this point how this house will progress with these two next stages. I suspect because of the daily rains this project may see the roof put up before the garage is added.
