Tisdale’s St. Matthew’s Anglican Church holds its fund raising rummage sales each spring and fall and we have had pictures and stories of these events at least for the past ten years. I try to visit the sale on the first morning (Thursday as the sale is on for Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning). Only one other time do I remember the church’s minister being on hand. Helping out with the project and greeting the folks who came to the sale Rev. Edward.
I introduced myself after taking his picture and he told me that he was a newcomer to Saskatchewan. His family came originally from New Brunswick but he grew up on Prince Edward Island. He told me that he and his wife are very pleased with their new home and the warmth of the community.
