Trip to the Petroglyphs east of Yuma

We took a trip to the Petroglyphs east of Yuma. Very interesting!
My understanding is the site is like Stonehenge but for the natives of Southern Arizona.
If we had a sunny day, we could have lined up some of the stones to reveal a marker indicating Winter Solstice. The marker I was standing beside (above) is the Summer Solstice Indicator. As it was December 21 well.......... But alas, no sun.
