we also have a nice new dress uniform this time out. and the Enterprise 1701E has a bridge more like the one that Captain Kirk would have been more familiar with.

Certainly this movie has its share of foam rocks and plastic weapons but Berman and Pillar's story line is riding up front in this one while gadgets and science take back seat to the human and prime directive. To tell the story the screen is filled with some awesome effects but the villain's evil weapon is to obviously a computer rendering that cost to much to make so though I am sure the editor wanted to leave it to out it was included anyway, Star Trek fans will have to do real time editing on that scene.

In many ways it is a great nostalgia rush for the old The
Next Generation fans as the cast from the series are together looking slightly older but the magic is still there and the mix of characters and acting talent make us feel at home and eager for the next adventure. And, there is no doubt about a next adventure. The story line, the support from the viewer and the need to boldly go continues and this series will go on and on, at least I certainly hope so because the movies tie together the loose ends and keep the story alive for us all.

Though Star Trek and Star Wars both are considered to be science fiction genre they are really considerably more then that and perhaps a great deal less. The work that has gone into making Star Trek plausible is related directly to the scientific support staff that back up each script so that though there is some fiction it is actually far more scientific theory applied to a story.
