MINISTER'S MESSAGE - 2014

February, 2014

As
I write this it is still the season of Epiphany, and the light is slowly returning. With the returning light comes the opportunity for creative energy as we gather together to do the work of the church.

I have been at St. Paul's doing interim ministry
with you since July 1, 2014. We have our learning goals clearly set out, and we have been doing some good work.

Bill Wall came last fall, and led a workshop on Board structure. We also talked about United Church polity, and the workings
of the church. This was a very successful day. Sixteen people attended this workshop.

We were recently engaged in a conflict resolution workshop led by Linda Anderson from Regina. This was a very thoughtful time, and those who attended were very pleased with the day. We discussed power and how we share power. We talked about ways
to move through conflict in productive, meaningful ways. Eleven people attended this workshop.

There have been
two circle conversations, and we will continue to meet in a circle. We will explore a vision for St. Paul's United Church in Tisdale. Dates for circle conversation are: Feb. 8, March 15, April 12, and May 10, following worship service.

The Transition Team has been a tremendous gift in the work
of the church. They willingly step forward to do the work that is involved in this interim ministry.

There are 16 months left in our time together, and we have work
to do. As I have already said, next is the discussion regarding our future. I look forward to this work, and to your participation in this visioning opportunity.

May the light
of Epiphany and the winter snow be a gift in your lives, and may the Spirit of Wisdom be with you.
