CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT FOR 2014

Greetings Everyone.

The past year has been one of change for St. Paul’s. We had the retirement of our long time pianist/organist Maurice Taylor. We thank him for his many years of sharing his wonderful musical talents. We want to thank Margaret Mehler who has taken over as pianist.

We appreciate the time, travel and commitment you bring to the position.

The past year also saw us welcome Rev. Sharon Ferguson-Hood as our new Interim Minister for a period of two years. She brings new ideas and fresh approaches to our church and congregation. I hope and pray we can help her revitalize our church.

In December, I resigned as Chair of the Offical Board of St. Paul’s as I felt I was going to be too involved with our upcoming move to Lethbridge to give the proper attention to the position. I want to thank all the Board Members for their help and support. You are a blessing. A special thank you to Mary Grant for her wonderful secretarial support. My best wishes to the Board of St. Paul’s in the years ahead.

As we leave Tisdale and St. Paul’s, a fond farewell to all of our church family and friends. Hopefully we will be able to return for a visit once in a while.

God Bless You All.

MINISTRY & PERSONNEL COMMITTEE ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2014

The members of the M&P committee are Peggy Scutchings [Chair], Donna Dobson [Secretary], Nora Teale and Morely Mehler. The committee formally met 4 times during 2014, but met informally many times to help keep the business of the church going. It has been a pleasure to meet and work with our new minister, Sharon Feguson-Hood. We feel very fortunate to have acquired the services of Terry Bilash as janitor. He has been very instrumental in keeping the church building in good operating condition. He has also developed a new job description, time sheet and invoice for payment sheet that we trust will be an efficient way of keeping track of the upkeep and cleanliness of the Church.

Our Office Administrator, May is always available for help and advice and has been very instrumental in orientating the M&P committee to various procedures in the Church office so that the business of the church can carry on when she is on holidays. The committee reminds the congregation that they are available to receive and follow up on any concerns or complaints. Concerns are to be provided in writing to facilitate investigation and resolution. Many thanks to those members who have offered to help the committee when some of our staff is away.
