Ensign Notes

.Happenings In Tisdale:

Cleaning switches

Sunday
December 24, 2006
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale :
Life goes on and on and on as we all go about our business and shape our priorities the basics still have to be covered. The dishes need to be washed, the laundry done and when necessary the switches need to be cleaned. Speical holidays, family events and celebrations notwithstanding life still must fit into the sometimes whirlwind of everyday events. Christmas is special but it is also a part of every year events it is part of all that we do and fits into all of the details that make up the fabric of our lives. Merry Christmas everyone!
There's a better way to reform the senate

Sunday
December 24, 2006
by : Ross Bateman
Langton, Ontario :
The formula the federal government has recently outlined to reform the senate is not going to do service to Canadians in general as it will only further fractionate the country and decentralise all forms of government. Airtist Ross Bateman has a better idea.

Tuesday
December 19, 2006
by : Gerald Crawford

Tuesday
December 19, 2006
by : Robert Ede
Richmond Hill, Ontario :
For most Canadians those chapters in Canadian studies they took in grade twelve were just a lot of mumbo jumbo and sadly most people paid little attention to the actual nature of Canada's constitution and the way it has dynamically evolved. Mr. Ede takes a shot at helping us to put our awareness back on track.

Tuesday
December 19, 2006
by : Brian Marlatt
White Rock B.C. :
From the west coast we have a similar complaint that the Harper government is ignorant of the basic concepts of the Canadian form of government and their attempts to make improvements are a real danger to the stability and sovereignty of the country.

The sun is low on the horizon and the horizon seems far away as the writer reflects on the worsening state of life in rural Saskatchewan. Perhaps its just the time of year, its all about the way you look at things.
