Monday, June 2, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire

Relay for life -$186,000
Saturday, May 31, 2003
by Timothy W. Shire
One of the largest events in Saskatchewan as over 300 survivors and more than a thousand others spend the night as they raise an unprecidented amount of money for Cancer research. This is a very large story with two QuickTime VR pictures and a large page to access the pictures taken at this remarkable community activity.

The New World Order of Bush&Co.: The intersection of government, business, military and lies
Saturday, May 31, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
This short story is in actual fact a summary of a wide range of material that Mr. deSantis has compiled. Its like hearing only the punch line of a joke, it won't mean that much to you unless you check out the powerful references that are listed at the bottom of the story.

by: Timothy W. Shire
An army of volunteers were in the process of converting the playing field and arena into a complete fair grounds this morning as preparations for the afternoon and night's activities.

Friday, May 30, 2003
by Jonathan Colford
We are proud to post McGill's (Toronto) active journalist Jonathan Colford who writes on everything from sports to politics in both his college paper but also in local Toronto publications. He is amused at the irony of the new Marijuana legislation.

On Regression: the case of Dr. David Cassidy and the case of President Bush
Friday, May 30, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
The US president has just appointed an advisor who is committed to the concept that a greater inequity in income is good for the economy. The story and its references illustrates the economic basis for this kind of thinking.

Parkland Photography Club May 2003
Friday, May 30, 2003
by: Gerald Crawford
This club continues to grow and develop as this month they recognise each others achievements and challenge each other to new frontiers. The Macro pictures are interesting as they are about to wrap up their season at the end of June.

Missed boondoggles
Thursday, May 29, 2003
by: Joyce Neufeld
As members of the Saskatchewan Party have been effectively identifying miss-spend money by the provincial government. But there have been other spending that is very questionable.

What a bummer of a day . .
Thursday, May 29, 2003
by: Rebecca Gingrich
Compound silly news that seems to illustrate the aimlessness of the federal government as it flounders about from one issue to another without fixing anything.

Pitzel wins nomination
Wednesday, May 28, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
The Carrot River Valley NDP nominating convention took place last night in Tisdale and Mark Pitzel will contest the upcoming bi-election and the general election which will follow.

Nipawin Fire a year later
Tuesday, May 27, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
This year's fire season is upon Saskatchewan's Northern residents once more as the folks in Timber Bay may not be able to get back into their homes today after their fire Sunday night. But a year ago Nipawin was threatened and here is what it looks like now. This page includes a QuickTime VR panorama (600K) showing the scene.

Lack of action
Tuesday, May 27, 2003
by: Joe Hueglin
While the federal government takes action with the SARS and Mad Cow issues the persistent problem of sex offenders is not at the top of the action or "to do list."

What is wrong with the Canadian Alliance?
Tuesday, May 27, 2003
by: Ron Thornton
The Canadian Alliance has slipped in the polls to no longer be viable as a national political entity while the Progressive Conservative party seems about to elect a "retro" leader with no appeal outside of his home province.

The tools of Bush&Co's Public Policies: Wrapping up in the flag and lying with secrecy and opinions polls
Tuesday, May 27, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
Today's story is a refined summary of the extensive research that went into it as Mr. deSantis has been checking out the huge amounts of information that now confire the supicions of months ago.

The Pharaohs and Kings are gone: but their taxes remain
Monday, May 26, 2003
by: Walter Robinson
Cities have to raise 83% of their revenue by whatever means they can and for the most part that seems to be property taxes which hit and hurt often those least able to pay. Its time to consider alternatives.
