Tisdale: Most farmers are in the fields. Harrowing, applying anhydrous, running their cultivator through the weeds that are taking hold but few are actually putting seed in the ground. Field conditions are improving everyday but there is a lot of water in some fields much like you would find right after the run off.

Kevin McIntyre's Deck Cam in Carrot River
Many people come to Ensign each day and check the web cam that surveys our driveway. Now you can go to Kevin McIntyre's back yard in Carrot River and see what it is like there. The camera is 25 feet from the south [farthest] rail of the deck and the LED infrared, well, you too can see in pitch black night.

Lac LaRonge Reserve: This past Saturday Saskatchewan's northern teacher education programme celebrated its latest group of graduates. Thirteen communities several First Nations bands, the Metis nation and northern Saskatchewan as a whole were brought together in a graduation that means so much to the individual communities throughout the north as it brings their own people into the teaching provession which in term gives new meaning and hope for these communities and their future.

Tisdale: Though a big sale the Lutheran sale often on the same weekend as the Anglican one is smalled. This year the two sales are pretty much equal with the Lutheran sale having quite a few high value big ticket items.

Tisdale: What we have here is a rain delay. Seeding in the Tisdale area has already begun but the start stopped abruptly with this week of persistent showers. As soon as the tap is turned off this year's crop is going in the ground.

Tisdale: For eleven years comedian Lorne Elliott headed up CBC's Madly off in all directions radio comedy show and the folks in Tisdale got the opportunity to experience a consumate story teller fill the Monday evening for the Tisdale Arts Council with laughter as he took the audience along with him through an observant mind and a polished stage presentation sprinkled with a few outstandingly ridiculous songs.

Melfort: Construction and stocking are complete and the new Melfort Canadian Tire has been open now for almost a month. We visited the store today and were thrilled with such a superior retail outlet to be only half an hour away.

Near Craven: Trying to capture the delicate beauty of this year's crocuses Ken Jones had to deal with a persistent ladybug. He solved the problem by making the ladybug the subject of some of his pictures but despite a good deal of "shooowing" the bug stayed put in its investigation of the crocus flowers. The seven pictures are on the second page of the story.

If it can be part of a farm operation this sale has it and in many cases several examples to choose from. Heavy equipment right through to hand tools and just about everything in between. Cornerstone Credit Union rises from a hole in the ground

Tisdale: Last summer the large building that once was a car dealership and had housed several businesses, situated just north of the Credit Union was demolished and the area cleared but nothing happened until December when a very deep hole in the ground was dug to provide the base for a new expansion of the Credit Union. This story shows 70 pictures of what happened between December 17 and today as the project has come up from a hole in the ground.
