Friday
November 16, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: It is understandable that some low life con artist might try to weasel money out of us over our telephones but enough is enough, on Wednesday I got a spam call from SaskTel.

American Gangster's wad of Euros signals U.S. decline

This outstanding article explains the slip in value of the US dollar and goes to great length to clarify the underlying situation that both created the problem and will make it worse.

Coincidence
Thursday
November 15, 2007
by: Ray Strachan
Grimshaw, Alberta: It is odd how a sequence of things take place often considerred to be random yet it is these sorts of events that make up the minute by minute things in our lives. Mr. Strachan points out the link between his pictures and the pictures of the fire about a year later in Crooked River.
The focus: images not issues
Thursday
November 15, 2007
by: Eugene Parks
Victoria B.C.: Without an election being called the Conservatives have mounted and continue to pursue an unprecedented character assassination of the leader of the Liberal Party. The odd thing with this campaign is how the main stream media seems to have bought into the whole thing and the real issues are being submerged.
The Greenwater Report
Monday
November 12, 2007
by: Gerald Crawford
Saskatoon: The transistion to becoming city folks is not going to be an easy one but Gerald and Doreen are giving it a shot but this week they will be out at the park for their last week to do a little bit of final clean up.
The policy of a US strong dollar is the policy of unbridled greed
Monday
November 12, 2007
by: Mario deSantis
Prince Albert: The bottom line is simple, greed we can understand but the complexities of the devaluation of the US dollar and the subsequent increase of value of the Canadian and other currencies relative to the US dollar are complex. But there is no need to be not knowing some of the contributing factors. This story gives you the outline or the plot of the situation and the fifteen references that go with the story are educational.
Remembering Crooked River
Friday
November 9, 2007
by: Joe Ives
Nanaimo, BC: The images shared on this web site by Ray Strachan caught the attention of many readers as they remembered the booming lumber mill town east of Tisdale. Joe Ives was a reporter and photographer for the Recorder and the story brought back memories for him and he has sent along some of those memories and three amazing pictures of a fire in the community many years ago.
Tyler Henry, October player of the month
Friday
November 9, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: The Tisdale AAA Trojans are now second place in the league tied in points with first place Regina Pat Canadians. A lot of the credit for the team's success goes to the number two goal scorer in the league a player to is averaging a goal and a half a game, Tyler Henry #21.
A Wall majority
Thursday
November 8, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: 74% of Saskatchewan's voters got out and cast their votes with 51% voting for candidates in the Saskatchewan Party electing a majority government with 37 seats and the NDP returned 21 seats to the legislature. Premier Calvert promised the transistion would be smooth and swift as we all extend congratulations to the Premier elect, Brad Wall and the candidates across the province who made this a clear demonstration of democracy in action.
House nineteen
Thursday
November 8, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Although four completed basements sit awaiting the erection of houses over them or in one case the moving of a new house onto the basement, today the 19th new basement of the year was dug on NewMarket tucked in beside one of the basements awaiting a house and a house now about two years old.
The Greenwater report
Monday
November 5, 2007
by: Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park: This report fills us in on the details of the move to Saskatoon and new neighbourhood Gerald and Doreen are going to have to adjust to. In the mean time there is snow at the park and the coffee buddies are going to have to do some adjusting of their own.
So this is Leopard
Monday
November 5, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: The new Mac operating system has been installed and today's Ensign is being assembled using the most modern computer operating system available. It has not all been smiles and chuckles but the learning curve is shallow.
Official opening of Tisdale's new water treatment plant
Friday
November 2, 2007
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: This huge $3,000,000 project has been a while in planning but it is up and running and can easily expand to meet the growing demands of the community.

Thursday
November 1, 2007

Thursday

Monday
October 29, 2007

Ray followed up with stories about the community and his life there and then sent some remarkable images of the time. Some of them, negatives which he had never seen.
The Greenwater report
Monday
October 29, 2007
by: Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park: Its a done deal the Crawfords are city folks now as this past weekend it was moving day but we still have some weather, lawn mowing, mosse hunting, cabin construction and park undertakings to keep us up to date on things. The community supper to recognise the Crawfords is set for November 17 in Greenwater Hall, its a pot luck.
